Girl Talk Mentoring Program

Girl Talk Mentoring is a vocational leadership skills development program that empowers girls to have fun, learn new things, and make new friends.Girl Talk is comprised of several functions that collectively serve to make the program fun, engaging and impactful for students.

While in the program, girls will work to improve their self-esteem and confidence while exploring the basic skills that are easily transferable to the workplace and everyday life. Girls undertake a process of self-discovery to explore their identities and tell their stories: who they are, what challenges they face and how we can help them.

We offer three sessions throughout the year:

  • Vocational life skills: Morning sessions are dedicated to helping our girls build a toolbox of skills they will need to be self-sufficient and productive as they mature. Responsible financial planning, building an impactful resume, and career planning, among other topics, ensure that students craft a plan for their future and diligently take the necessary steps to carry it through.
  • Social skills: Afternoon sessions are dedicated to developing the social and emotional skills needed to cope successfully through all situations in life. Confidence, peaceful conflict-resolution, and building healthy relationships are just some of the topics. Navigating the emotional and social development path for these young ladies is of utmost importance, as it underlies all future success.
