My Girlfriend's House members have strong beliefs about giving back to our community. We are intelligent, hard-working women but our success does not mean anything if we are not using it to help the young ladies that will soon be filling our shoes.

All of our signature events support our charity efforts as each attendee is asked to bring at least one purse stuffer for our Purse String for My Girlfriend effort. We are constantly refilling the purses of the young ladies that we donate our handbags to. We do not want the girls to run out of supplies, and by donating a stuffer for each event we can assure that this will not happen.

We also have larger events that help the young divas of the community.

The Purse String for My Girlfriend’s effort allows young ladies to have a gorgeous handbag to call their own. Our members donate the bags and fill them with all the essentials, from hair & nail care, to feminine products, to dental care products. When the girls run low on supplies, we are there to refill them as needed.

Our Girl Talk Mentoring program partners young girls in the community with our influential and professional members. This program offers the young ladies an opportunity to develop trusting relationships between adult women and young girls, develop and maintain positive social and academic skills, and encourage mentees to feel confident in their abilities to succeed.

Our Sassy Senior Scholarship program celebrates the academic achievement of high school senior girls in the DMV area. After successfully completing our selection process, the awarded student will receive scholarship assistance towards college or university-related financial obligations.

Our Monthly Birthday Club program takes us to a local homeless shelter where we then host monthly birthday celebreations for all the girls that live in the shelter. Our guests of honors are always those girls with birthdays within that given month.

We strongly believe in giving back and our members are the cornerstone to helping us accomplish this goal. If you are interested in learning more or donating to one of our charitable events, please refer to the specific initiative above.
